New York, February 18, 2011 —Humanscale Healthcare’s T5 Point-of-Care Technology Cart will be on display at the 2011 HIMSS Conference and Exhibition, February 21-23 in Orlando, Fla. Featuring integrated cable management and sleek aesthetics, the award-winning T5 offers unmatched comfort, mobility and a totally adaptable chassis with a variety of high-performance power options for the ultimate caregiver-centric solution.
Humanscale Healthcare’s “T” line of carts provide the first truly ergonomic healthcare workstation-on-wheels (WOW) solution. Extensive research and interviews with regular WOW users led to the development of the T5’s key features, including comfort for a wide range of users, ease of mobility, maximum maneuverability in confined spaces, and long-lasting power.
Designed to meet the ergonomic requirements of 99% of users in both sitting and standing postures, the T5’s keyboard, monitor, and work surface are each independently adjustable for maximum user comfort. Humanscale’s patented one-touch adjustable keyboard support ensures healthy typing and mousing, and the cart’s overall height is dynamically adjustable via foot pedal.
The T5’s energy-conscious and quick-charging internal power system stays cool without a fan, which helps limit the spread of pathogens. Available with a 40- or 60-amp/hour battery, the T5 provides 12 to18 hours of continuous use between charges, depending on the hardware in use. The T5 also features a unique, proprietary remote power and asset management system that relays battery and cart information to a central location within a healthcare facility. Remote monitoring of the device allows the healthcare provider to maximize run time, battery life, and the return on their “Point-of-Care” (POC) investment.
Designed with the environment in mind, the T5 contains more than 50% recycled materials and is itself 95% recyclable.
