NEW YORK, June 3, 2008 — Humanscale will unveil its redesigned Merchandise Mart showroom, which has doubled in size to accommodate the company’s growing product selection and new Hospitality and expanded Healthcare divisions, during the NeoCon World’s Trade Fair 2008 in Chicago. The improvements are part of Humanscale’s continued growth and follow a 2007 year-over-year sales increase of 23.4%.
Humanscale’s updated showroom will feature compelling new wall graphics to help tell the story behind and benefits of each design. New products, including the award-winning Cinto chair, Diffrient Work Light II, and NeatLinks cable management device, will be on display, along with Humanscale’s lauded Liberty and Freedom seating, M4 and M7 monitor arms, 5G keyboard supports, and other leading ergonomic office products.
Last year, Humanscale sales revenues reached $184 million. Says Humanscale Founder and CEO Bob King, “Our success in 2007 was driven by a combination of well-received new product launches, growth within existing markets, and expansion into new markets, namely healthcare and hospitality.” During this time, the company introduced the Liberty Side chair, CPU600 CPU holder, and Access Rail, and received 19 prestigious design awards, including the Product Design of the Year Award from the International Design Awards, two Best of IIDEX/NeoCon Canada Gold Awards, and a pair of GOOD DESIGN Awards.
The entertainment industry has also recognized Humanscale products. Notably, Liberty and Freedom chairs appeared on television programs Shark, Rules of Engagement, Heroes, CSI Miami, Boston Legal, Weeds, Bones, Las Vegas, House, 24, Ugly Betty, Life, and Private Practice; and in films such as Transformers, Bourne Ultimatum, Premonition and I Think I Love My Wife.
Humanscale is already off to a tremendous 2008, boasting 17% sales growth in North America during the first quarter.
