LONDON, September 18, 2008—Humanscale’s new London showroom on Northburgh Street in the heart of the Clerkenwell District will be among the sites highlighted by this month’s Designers’ Saturday showcase. The event, scheduled for 26 – 27 September, aims to inspire and offer insights into the depth of the design world with exhibitor installations, prototypes, and staging of unconventional scenarios.
Humanscale will answer the question “How healthy is your desk?” for Designers’ Saturday participants at a preview of its exciting new laboratory-style showroom, which is twice as large as its previous location thanks to the company’s impressive growth in international sales and expanding product selection. Designed by Gensler, the showroom experience offers interactive workstations and compelling wall graphics to help tell the story behind and benefits of Humanscale’s revolutionary designs.
Designers’ Saturday attendees will learn how to improve the health, efficiency and quality of work life with video displays and lectures. In addition to delving into the connection between ergonomics and office work, Humanscale will share information on current regulations and their implications for office furniture and office layouts. Additionally, a number of new products will be on display, including the award-winning Cinto chair, the Diffrient Work Light II, and NeatLinks cable management system, along with Humanscale’s lauded Liberty and Freedom seating, monitor arms, and other leading ergonomic office products.
Humanscale will officially unveil its showroom at an exclusive fete scheduled for October 30. The launch party will feature the company’s latest innovations—including an exciting new task chair by Niels Diffrient—which will be revealed at Orgatec 2008, 21 – 25 October, 2008, in Cologne, Germany. Diffrient himself will be among the esteemed guests at the event.
