Humanscale Seating Now Available in Ultraleathe™ Promessa
Antimicrobial Textile Ideal for Healthcare Environments, Meets Greenguard™ Standards
New York, March 21, 2007 — Humanscale’s award-winning Freedom and Liberty lines of seating are now available in Ultraleather™ Promessa, a luxurious simulated leather by Ultrafabrics. Engineered for exceptional beauty, durability and sustainability, Ultraleather Promessa complements any commercial or residential environment, while the antimicrobial nature of the textile, along with its easy-to-clean surface, make it exceptionally well-suited for healthcare applications.
Ultraleather Promessa offers a rich, pebbled grain pattern with attractive two-tone shading comparable to premium grade leather. Available in 25 contemporary colors, the naturally processed fabric cleans effortlessly with soap and water, and is laboratory-proven to reduce microbial growth by more than 99%. Stains are easily lifted from Promessa with an alcohol-based all-purpose cleaner, and it disinfects with a 5:1 bleach solution. It’s also remarkably durable, exceeding heavy-duty industry abrasion standards by more than 1300%.
Ultraleather Promessa’s manufacturing processes are consistent with Humanscale’s environmental mission. Manufactured in an ISO 9001-certified facility, the textile is free of PVC, plasticizers, heavy metals, formaldehyde, pyroxylin, and persistent organic pollutants. 99% of Promessa’s production solvents are captured and recycled, and it meets Greenguard™ and Oeko-Tex environmental standards.
Humanscale’s award-winning Freedom seating upholstered in Ultraleather Promessa offers the ultimate in workplace comfort and safety. The Freedom Saddle seat offers easy mobility, versatility, and ergonomic comfort in a stool, while Freedom Task seating provides exceptional workstation comfort with Humanscale’s innovative counter-balance recline mechanism and synchronous adjustable armrests for spontaneous, healthy movement.
