New York, September 14, 2007 —Humanscale Design Director Manuel Saez is among the distinguished industrial design industry leaders invited to speak at the upcoming Design and Sustainability Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. The September 24 – 25 event—presented by the Swedish Industrial Design Foundation (SVID) and the Finnish-Swedish Industrial Design Academy in cooperation with Electrolux—will highlight sustainable competence and the future of environmental responsibility in design.

Organized to examine the connections between business, design, and the environment, the Design and Sustainability Conference will address the role of designers in a more environmentally focused future and explore how companies can boost their bottom lines while implementing sustainable practices. As head of the Humanscale Design Studio, Manuel has extensive experience in the area of sustainable design, and is responsible for identifying and implementing design solutions that are consistent with Humanscale’s environmental commitment.
