Humanscale Introduces Squiggle

New Earth-Friendly Textile Now Available on Freedom, Liberty Chairs

Karen Brooking

New York, January 5, 2009 — Humanscale Freedom and Liberty chairs can now be outfitted in Squiggle, a new textile by award-winning designer Lori Weitzner. The high-performance patterned textile is part of Humanscale’s new Movement collection, teaming durability, sustainability and beauty to complement a wide variety of environments.

Composed of 100% recycled polyester, Squiggle features an innovative weave structure that creates a modern, organic wave pattern inspired by the movement of ripples across a still body of water.
Squiggle is available in nine rich colorways, including Ash, Chocolate, Sand, Espresso, Herb, Indigo, Navy, Cinnabar and Tangerine, and can be applied both horizontally and vertically to Humanscale seating. Consistent with Humanscale’s requirement for ultra durability, Squiggle surpasses 150,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek test and meets all of the quality standards set by the Association for Contract Textiles.
